Copyright & DMCA

We write our own words and generate our own images. If something here infringes your copyright, it is a mistake and we want to fix it.

Reporting an infringement

Send a notice through our contact page including all of the following:

  • Identification of the work you say has been infringed.
  • The exact URL or URLs on this site where it appears.
  • Your name, address and email, and your relationship to the work.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We aim to acknowledge a complete notice within five working days. Where a claim is clear we remove or disable the material while we look into it, and we tell you what we did. Incomplete notices slow this down, which is why the list above matters.

Counter-notice

If material of yours was removed and you believe that was an error, send a counter-notice through the same channel identifying the material, where it was, and why you believe the removal was mistaken.

Repeat infringement

Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.

Using our work

Quoting us with a link is welcome. Republishing an article whole is not. For syndication or licensing, ask through the contact page.
